Mission Location: Costa Rica - Dates: July 11 - 19, 2014

Jessup Baptist Church has engaged with a Mission Base of Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in Costa Rica. YWAM is a world-wide organization that has been in existence since 1960, operates in 180 countries and has a staff of over 18,000 (find out more about the Costa Rica YWAM base at www.ywamsj.org).  After a "recon" mission last year by our Pastor and another church member, we have organized a team of seven who will be traveling to Costa Rica to provide the following ongoing services to the mission base:

• Construction and repair to the physical plant
• Installation and upgrade to the local area network
• Installation of an electronic card access control system
• Witnessing to children and families in & around San Jose (the Capital)
• Worship Activities, both on and off-base
• Prayer, both on-site and from our base in Jessup, Maryland

Please lift this ministry and its team up in prayer, praying for traveling mercies for the team, and that it will accomplish all that God has planned for it in His perfect timing.

Future Plans

Jessup Baptist Church intends to provide ongoing mission support to YWAM, and this is but the second of many more trips to Costa Rica to provide that physical support to the mission base.  In addition, we anticipate providing direct financial assistance to the mission base, as well.

We pledge to all donors and participants that 100% of all proceeds collected from all Costa Rica Mission fundraisers will go directly to the Costa Rica Mission Base.
